Final Week/ Hand In Week!




The R Narrative: 5 and 7 Garrett Street date back to 1906 and are the oldest and only timber structures remaining on Garrett Street. The houses at 5 & 7 Garrett Street serve as a symbolic reminder of what was there before. Their heritage value lies in the fact that these are the only surviving houses on a street that was formerly full of the working class houses. 5& 7 Garrett Street are a testament to another time. Dimensions: Approximately 1.8m tall and 1.4m wide. Materiality: Timber slats made to look like weather boards, painted red.



The R

Purpose: An object that people and artists can interact with on the street. This allows the letter to change overtime as more people begin to graffiti on it. 

Material: 
Steel

Dimensions:
1.9m tall, 1.5m will and 1m in width



The E Purpose: Seating and bike stand outside the cafe Pour and Twist Dimensions: Approximately 500mm tall, 1550mm wide and 2500mm long. Materiality: Steel powder coated red and concrete




The T

Narrative:  The T as a light box is a metaphor for the 'light at the end of the tunnel as it's the last letter of Garrett and it is at the 'end' of the street.

Dimensions: Pretty big
